We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Laser-Turret Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines to ensure high-precision production. We are looking for a results-driven individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Load and edit CNC programs; set machines for full cycles to fabricate large batches of parts according to specifications.
Material Handling: Load sheet metal into bays and safely use a forklift to move materials and completed parts.
Quality Control: Perform first-part and random inspections using calipers, gauges, and tape measures to ensure 100% conformity to prints.
Production Maintenance: Monitor cutting quality and adjust feed rates or machine settings in real-time to optimize results.
Equipment Care: Perform daily maintenance (nozzle centering, window cleaning, dust bin removal) and advanced troubleshooting (optical path realignment, pneumatic/hydraulic checks) for Class A operators.
Post-Processing: Separate and “pick” parts from skeletons, stack them systematically, and package finished goods using banding or shrink wrap.
Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading mechanical drawings/blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Operator (Laser experience preferred).
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and remain active in a manufacturing environment.
Aptitude: Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and solid shop math.
Certifications: Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for program loading and data entry.
