Position: Machine Operators
Work Location: Hiram, GA 30141
Payrate: $17.50/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: 1st shift: 8am to 5pm
2nd shift: 3pm to 12am
Must be a bilingual (English/Spanish)
 
Job Description:
  • Receive pick tickets from supervisor
  • Read orders to find out catalog numbers, size, color, and quantity of merchandise
  • Obtain merchandise from shelves
  • Pack and weigh orders
  • Place incoming items in inventory (Put-Away)
  • Conduct physical inventories (Cycle Counts)
  • Pick customer orders for shipment
  • Transport orders to shipping locations
  • Operate and maintain materials handling tools
  • Organize items of pallet
Timeline:
  • Day 1 thru Day 60
  • Review specific P.I.E. to be trained on (Cherry Picker, Sit-down/Standup, Reach Truck, Turret)
  • To be trained on pre-Inspection of P.I.E
  • Learn product line descriptions, sku’s proper placement in carts, proper packing
  • Train with a seasoned MO to learn locations, proper entry to aisles
  • Proper off-loading product, staging and crate placement
  • Drive P.I.E. at a reduced speed to ensure proper handling
Skills:
  • The ideal candidate for the role of Machine Operator would have the following background & skills:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to read, speak & write basic English
  • Attention to detail is required to ensure correct item is picked, labeled and properly packed
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and willingness to learn
  • To be flexible, open-minded and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience a plus to operate powered industrial equipment such as Cherry Picker or Pacer
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a machine operator
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • High School Degree
