The Company
Guardian Security Services is seeking experienced and qualified Concierge for luxury communities in Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in the residential hospitality field. He/she will be responsible for providing excellent member service and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Candidate should also be an outgoing, high energy, driven, and professional person who has a sincere interest in problem solving, and running the front desk efficiently.
Pay rate: $20.00 / hr-$21.00/ hr.
Schedule and shift: Tuesday through Thursday 7 AM to 3PM/Friday and Saturday 3 PM to 11 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a polished, professional Doorman with a strong hospitality and concierge background (hotel, luxury residential, high-end customer service) to join our team at a premium residential community. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-facing environment, provides white-glove service, and understands how to represent a luxury property with confidence and courtesy.
The Doorman is the first impression for residents, guests, and vendors, and must maintain a welcoming presence while supporting daily lobby operations and resident needs.
Key Responsibilities
โข Provide a warm, professional greeting to all residents, guests, and visitors
โข Open doors, assist with resident/guest entry, and provide lobby support
โข Maintain a visible, engaged presence in the lobby (stand-to-serve posture)
โข Coordinate resident requests and assist with concierge-style services
โข Manage package delivery flow (log, notify residents, secure packages as needed)
โข Offer directions, general property information, and support visitor coordination
โข Monitor lobby activity and report suspicious or unusual behavior per protocol
โข Communicate effectively with property management, residents, and building staff
โข Assist with vendor check-ins and ensure access procedures are followed
โข Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in lobby/front entrance area
โข Complete daily shift reports and incident documentation when needed
Required Qualifications
โข Prior hospitality experience required (hotel front desk, concierge, bellman, luxury customer service, etc.)
โข Strong customer service skills and professional communication
โข Excellent appearance and grooming standards
โข Comfortable engaging with residents daily and building rapport
โข Ability to stand for extended periods and remain attentive/alert
โข Dependable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently
โข Strong problem-solving skills and calm under pressure
โข Must be able to pass a background check and any required screening
Preferred Qualifications
โข Luxury residential or high-rise building experience
โข Concierge training or prior guest service leadership exposure
โข Experience with package systems/logs and resident communication
โข Security or access control familiarity (not required, but a plus)
