Job description

Commercial Litigation Paralegal - Philadelphia, PA
Trustpoint. One is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to identify an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its Philadelphia headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation paralegal who wants to be an integral part of the legal team, work closely with attorneys on substantive matters, and build a long-term career within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote each week. Tuesday and Thursday are designated in-office days, with the third onsite day coordinated by the team.
Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys throughout all stages of complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Prepare and electronically file pleadings, motions, discovery materials, agreements, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Prepare, issue, and coordinate service of state and federal subpoenas.
  • Assist with all aspects of discovery, including document collection and review, discovery requests and responses, privilege logs, deposition preparation, and witness coordination.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, court proceedings, and other substantive litigation support.
  • Conduct factual research and investigations and assist in locating witnesses and gathering case-related information.
  • Maintain organized case files, litigation calendars, deadlines, and matter information within applicable case management systems.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, experts, witnesses, vendors, and other parties involved in active matters.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other electronic research platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and fellow paralegals across offices to provide seamless support and coverage.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience within a litigation practice, preferably involving commercial or complex litigation.
  • Hands-on experience with state and federal court e-filing.
  • Experience preparing, issuing, and coordinating state and federal subpoenas.
  • Strong knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, including discovery and trial preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research/case management platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime when case demands require.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Paralegals are treated as an important part of the legal team and are entrusted with meaningful, substantive legal work rather than primarily administrative responsibilities. They work closely alongside attorneys and may be involved in case strategy, discovery, trial preparation, and court proceedings.
The firm's Philadelphia headquarters offers a particularly active and collegial environment, with a strong sense of community and frequent firm-sponsored events. Paralegals also work within a team-based structure, providing built-in collaboration, support, and coverage rather than operating in isolation.
The position carries an annual 1,500-hour billable requirement.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Salary: $80,000-$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
