Job description

Employment Attorney (Associate/Counsel) - Hybrid (4 days in office, Chicago area)
Salary: $230,000-$315,000 DOE

We are seeking a highly motivated Employment Attorney (Associate or Counsel) with 5-7 years of experience to support a busy, fast-paced practice primarily focused on transactional employment work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and advise on employment-related documents, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants, separation agreements, and handbooks
  • Provide day-to-day counsel on employment law compliance (federal, state, local)
  • Support employment aspects of corporate transactions (M&A)
  • Handle or assist with workplace disputes and agency matters as needed

Qualifications:
  • MUST have Employment Law experience to be considered
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license (Illinois preferred)
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, team-oriented environment
  • Chicago-area candidates preferred

Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and related laws
  • Experience with employment agreements and compliance counseling required
  • Exposure to litigation or agency matters (EEOC/IDHR) a plus
  • M&A/labor & employment support experience preferred
