Community Healthcare of Texas has provided hospice and palliative care services since 1996. Our mission is to provide compassionate care for individuals living with serious illnesses while supporting their loved ones who care for them.

Community Healthcare of Texas is currently recruiting for a Triage Team Assistant.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide administrative support to the Triage department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supports the role of the Triage RN by attending to non-medical phone calls consisting of DME needs, staff ETAs, and scheduling.
  • Collaborates with the RN triage and call teams to assist with scheduling visits to field staff.
  • Responds to DME needs by scheduling deliveries and pickups for all patients.
  • Attends to inquiries received via fax, email, and phone.
  • Communicates directly with individuals and families to provide information about eligibility requirements, application details, payment methods, and applicants' legal rights during intake assessment.
  • Provide effective communication to patients, staff members, other health care professionals, and referral sources.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma required (Some college preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience in a clerical setting
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Typing and PC skills required
