Job description

About the Role:

Triage is a critical operational process used in the development of autonomous vehicles to better understand system performance and identify suboptimal behavior. As a Triage Analyst, you will collaborate with Autonomy and Operations teams in reviewing events of interest, collected from real world driving as well as from simulation, and annotating them with contextual information guided by Stack's Triage Policy & Guidelines. You will use data visualization tools to annotate events, and categorize them by issue type & priority, per our Triage Policy. Additionally you will assemble and present performance reports on our self-driving system, using Triage data. This role requires the ability to process detailed guideline documentation and utilize various review tools including video, textual, and numerical data to accurately categorize AV events. Experience with 2D/3D visualization tooling, as well as GSuite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or equivalent is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Autonomy and Operations teams to review and annotate events of interest from real-world driving and simulation.
  • Annotate events with contextual information, adhering to Stack's Triage Policy & Guidelines.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to categorize events by issue type and priority.
  • Process detailed guideline documentation and use various review tools (video, textual, numerical data) to accurately categorize AV events.
  • Assemble and present performance reports on the self-driving system using Triage data.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to understand extensive operational guidelines and apply them to an operational workflow.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team environment in an operational capacity.
  • Experience working with data to generate quantitative and qualitative reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in a succinct and effective manner.
  • Significant experience working with GSuite type products (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Experience as a Triage or Annotation / Labeling Analyst for an AV or Robotics company is preferred.
