Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Tri-County Physical Therapy, you will be expected to:

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring alignment with their specific recovery needs.
  • Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities to address orthopedic injuries and conditions, including but not limited to post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care by fostering strong relationships and utilizing excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Conduct patient assessments to track progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in function and pain relief.
  • Educate and train patients and their caregivers on therapeutic exercises, home care plans, and preventive strategies to support long-term recovery and wellness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes, sharing insights and strategies that enhance the overall treatment process.
  • Document patient interactions comprehensively, ensuring all records are accurate, timely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Meet minimum utilization goals and contribute to community engagement initiatives as a representation of Tri-County Physical Therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, as well as those experiencing chronic pain or mobility issues. The role will also involve exposure to pediatrics and neurologic conditions, allowing for a comprehensive clinical experience that enhances your skill set.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE-approved).
  • Current State License in Physical Therapy, valid in Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, essential for building rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Preferred Experience

While we welcome recent graduates, preference will be given to candidates with experience in orthopedic settings. Additional certifications related to orthopedic physical therapy, such as OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist), will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
