Join Fintech's office in Tampa, Florida as an Account Intern!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting/Treasury Intern who is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional financial operations environment. This internship is ideal for a student looking to build practical knowledge in treasury and accounting functions while supporting real-world business processes. The role provides exposure to transaction settlement, account reconciliations, cash application, banking operations, payment tracking, and financial documentation, while working collaboratively with Accounting, Treasury, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist with daily settlement of B2B SBT transactions, including validation and processing of retailer payments and supplier disbursements
  • Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and support resolution efforts
  • Support funds processing activities, including cash application and payment tracking
  • Assist in banking operations, including ACH file preparation, submission monitoring, and check processing
  • Review transaction data for accuracy and completeness across internal systems
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and Operations teams to support timely and accurate financial processing
  • Maintain documentation and support audit and compliance requests as needed

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skillsPhysical Requirements: This position is performed in a normal office environment. Physical demands require occasional lifting up to 15 lbs, sitting > 66% of the time, standing or walking > 33% of the time, talking, hearing, using hands to touch, handle, keyboard > 66% of the time.
