Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Job Details:

โ€ข Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
โ€ข Every other weekend rotation required
โ€ข 1 holiday expectation per contract
โ€ข No on-call responsibilities
โ€ข Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for both day and night shifts
โ€ข Average patient volume of 100-160 patients per day
โ€ข Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatric, with 5-8% pediatric population
โ€ข Patient types include chest pain, dizziness, syncope, strokes, sepsis, orthopedic, respiratory distress/failure, STEMI, and behavioral health medical clearance
โ€ข Minimum 2-5 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year of ED experience within the past year
โ€ข First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of ED experience
โ€ข Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
โ€ข Strong IV skills required
โ€ข Must be proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
โ€ข Must be knowledgeable in STEMI, CVA, and sepsis treatments as well as medication titration
โ€ข Skills required include foley placement/management and NGT placement/management
โ€ข EMR: EPIC experience required within the last 2 years
โ€ข IV pumps: Alaris; Medication dispensing: Pyxis
โ€ข Travelers may float based on facility needs, working as helping hands, taskers, sitters, or runners without a patient assignment
โ€ข Scrub color: Any color, professional (no camo, denim, or hoodies)
โ€ข Free parking available in east parking structure on the 3rd floor or higher

Facility:

This medical center is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 277 hospital beds. The emergency department features 20 beds, 8 overflow beds, and 4 cardiac arrest chairs. The facility offers comprehensive support including 24/7 receptionist and HUC coverage, charge nurse support, respiratory therapy, hospitalist and PA coverage, and a flow nurse during peak hours. The department also provides bedside and nurses station telemetry monitoring.
