Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Practice Management

Position Summary

Vista Health is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Clinic Receptionist to support our Vista Physician Group clinics. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in ensuring efficient front desk operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients in a professional, courteous manner
  • Answer and manage multiple phone lines, ensuring minimal hold times
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including urgent visits
  • Enter and verify patient information in the EMR system (Athena preferred)
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and clinic scheduling accuracy
  • Communicate clinic policies and relay messages between patients and providers
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications via phone, fax, email, and mail
  • Collect payments, balance daily transactions, and follow billing protocols
  • Monitor and maintain front office supplies and reception area readiness
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards
  • Support team collaboration and uphold Vista Health service standards
