Summary

The Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of production operations across the Carbide Rods organization. This position is responsible for analyzing operational processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing best practices to drive productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The Operations Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in production, supply chain, segment management, sales, and finance to deliver actionable insights and support strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze production and operations data and workflows to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement tools across business unit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute projects that enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive execution of Policy Deployment initiatives and other strategic projects
  • Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
  • Conduct problem solving analysis on operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in regular operational reviews and present findings to management.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and SIOP processes by providing data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to teams on new tools, processes, and systems
  • Support Operations Director to ensure execution of strategic initiatives
  • Develop capacity and performance models to support strategic and tactical decisions at plant and BU level segment level
Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, Master’s degree a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in operations analysis, process improvement, or a related role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9000, 14000, 18000), Lean Manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement initiatives and tools
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
  • Must speak and write English fluently, language capabilities in Spanish, German, and/or Italian are a plus
  • Up to 35% travel, including international, may be required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to collaborate and influence without direct authority
