Position: Accounting Coordinator, Part Time
Location: Portland, OR
Compensation: $24.90 - $26.30 per hour

What You'll Do
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day and month-end accounting tasks, including general accounts receivable and payable duties, along with a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks according to established policies, procedures, and deadlines
Essential Responsibilities
Description
  • Processes customer returns, price adjustments, and refunds for the eCommerce channel in accordance with established procedures.
  • Supports Accounts Payable activities by posting invoices, reviewing transactions for accuracy, and processing payments in a timely manner.
  • Reconciles cash and maintains Accounts Receivable accounts to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Posts customer payments and applies payments to the corresponding invoices.
  • Assists with the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Supports the Finance team with ad hoc projects and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of applicable accounting experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Proficiency with other applications such as Shopify and returns applications.
  • Enterprise database experience preferred but not required.
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to solve problems with high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
