Responsibilities

NV5 is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Transportation (Roadway) Design Group in Cary, NC.  As Project Manager, you will oversee roadway design projects, ensuring successful delivery while meeting client objectives. Manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and provide quality assurance for our transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead roadway design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
  • Assist in project design and delivery while mentoring junior engineers
  • Communicate adequately with all team members.
  • Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including monthly invoicing and reporting
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure quality project delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate expectations
  • Communicate and manage external clients and their expectations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • NC PE License
  • 8+ Years of transportation (roadway) design experience
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak/ORD
  • NCDOT project experience preferred
  • Strong client management and communication skills

  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary.
