Job description

Description

This is an independent, field-based insurance sales opportunity supporting seminar events throughout the Greater Orlando market

If you're an experienced insurance sales professional with final expense, life insurance, Medicare, or senior-market sales experience-and you thrive in front of a room-this opportunity puts you directly in control of your results. As an Independent Insurance Sales Agent, you'll operate in a 1099, self-employed capacity, selling through high-volume seminar events and qualified leads already provided by MASA throughout the Greater Orlando market.

You will be responsible for converting warm, high-intent leads into issued policies by delivering clear, compliant, and compelling presentations focused on final expense whole life insurance and supplemental insurance products. This is a performance-driven role where success comes from your ability to build trust quickly, handle objections effectively, and consistently follow through. With qualified leads, scheduled seminar opportunities, and a strong commission and bonus structure, high-performing agents have the opportunity to build a six-figure income.

At MASA, we're expanding into a multi-product organization, bringing supplemental insurance solutions to market, beginning with final expense as our first product. MASA is actively investing in seminar-based growth throughout Greater Orlando, creating ongoing opportunities for experienced field sales professionals who want to build and grow their business within a structured, lead-driven sales environment.

About MASA

MASA has been a leader in emergency medical transportation insurance since 1974. We're not just a company - we're a close-knit team dedicated to "Protecting families with compassion when others don't." Our professional yet friendly company culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and a clear mission that resonates through every role as we support our expanding base of 2+ million members across the United States and the Caribbean. What You Will Do

Reporting to our Sales Manager, Supplemental Insurance Solutions, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting high-volume, in-person seminar presentations in restaurant and event-based environments to educate and engage prospects.
  • Presenting and selling final expense whole life insurance products to senior consumers, converting seminar attendees and provided leads into issued policies.
  • Managing a consistent and active sales pipeline, executing disciplined follow-up to meet production and conversion goals.
  • Utilizing CRM systems to track activity, document interactions, and maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline data.
  • Completing applications, disclosures, and documentation accurately to ensure compliant and clean submissions.
  • Applying underwriting guidelines and quoting tools to properly qualify prospects and submit business within carrier requirements.
  • Representing MASA professionally while delivering clear, respectful, and trustworthy sales experiences to senior consumers.

What You Bring

  • Active Florida 2-15 (Health, Life, and Variable Annuity) license, or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • 2+ years of successful field-based insurance sales experience with strong preference for final expense life insurance experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a commission-driven environment.
  • Strong presentation, objection-handling, closing, and rapport-building skills-especially with senior audiences.
  • Experience working in seminar or event-driven sales environments preferred.
  • Ability to navigate CRM systems, quoting tools, and carrier platforms while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on seminar schedules and customer availability.

What We Will Provide You

  • A consistent flow of qualified leads and scheduled seminar opportunities-no cold calling or self-generated prospecting required.
  • A professional and friendly company culture that supports a clear mission: "Protecting families with compassion when others don't."
  • The ability to build and grow your own book of business while operating in a high-opportunity, entrepreneurial sales environment.

Why We Think You'll Love This Opportunity

You'll have the autonomy to operate as a self-employed, independent agent while benefiting from a structured, lead-driven environment designed to support your success. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of your income, with uncapped earning potential directly tied to your performance.

Unlike traditional independent roles, you won't be starting from scratch-MASA provides qualified leads, scheduled seminar opportunities, and a proven sales model that allows you to focus on what you do best: presenting, building trust, and closing business. You'll combine the freedom of self-employment with the support, infrastructure, and opportunity of a growing organization that is expanding its impact in the supplemental insurance space.
