Transportation Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Job Summary
A detail-oriented Transportation Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) is needed to provide exceptional client support, address insurance needs, maintain accurate records, and build lasting client relationships. This role focuses on transportation insurance and offers opportunities to develop expertise in a fast-paced industry. Candidates with strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding transportation insurance policies, inquiries, and claims.
  • Deliver timely and accurate responses to client inquiries and communicate policy updates, coverage options, and renewal information.
  • Assist Account Managers in maintaining complete and compliant client records.
  • Process insurance applications, policy changes, cancellations, certificates of insurance, and endorsements.
  • Analyze client needs to recommend proper coverage levels and policy adjustments while following company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, carriers, and internal team members to resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and track policy updates.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics such as response times, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to transportation insurance.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in customer service, insurance, or administrative support (experience in transportation insurance is a plus).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on professionalism and empathy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM or policy management software.
  • Insurance licenses such as Property & Casualty (P&C) or the willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and independently with proactive initiative.
