WSR Insurance Services is seeking an experienced Client Services Team Manager to provide hands-on leadership, operational consistency, and team development across our Crop Insurance service team.
Founded in 1917, WSR Insurance Services is one of the oldest and largest independently owned insurance agencies. We represent a wide range of carrier partners and provide tailored insurance solutions that help individuals and businesses manage risk with confidence. As a fully independent agency, we put our clients first because they are our neighbors, friends, and communities.
This role is ideal for a seasoned crop insurance professional who enjoys leading people, strengthening workflows, and improving execution without carrying a book of business. You'll play a key role in translating department priorities into daily action while supporting quality, compliance, and accountability across the service team.
About the Role
The Client Services Team Manager reports to the Crop Servicing Department Manager and provides direct leadership to assigned Crop Insurance service staff within a larger service team.
This role acts as a critical bridge between leadership strategy and frontline execution, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and consistently. The focus is on how work gets done not just outcomes supporting workflow adherence, service standards, workload balance, and team development, particularly during high-volume seasonal periods.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support for assigned Crop Insurance service team members
  • Reinforce workflows, documentation standards, and service expectations
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and guidance
  • Monitor workload balance, workflow progression, and execution health
  • Identify execution gaps early and partner with leadership on solutions
  • Support the adoption of systems, tools, and process improvements
  • Ensure accurate handling of:
    • Policies and endorsements
    • Acreage and production reporting
    • Claims coordination and service requests
  • Maintain compliance with USDA/RMA guidelines, carrier requirements, and internal procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with producers, account managers, accounting, and carriers
  • Maintain data integrity across agency systems and carrier platforms
  • Support seasonal planning and provide hands-on execution support during peak crop periods
  • Lead and engage team members in a high-accountability, team-oriented environment

Requirements
  • Valid Crop Insurance License
  • 5-7+ years of crop insurance experience, including MPCI and private products
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Crop Insurance Program (FCIP), USDA/RMA, and compliance requirements
  • Prior experience leading people, mentoring staff, or managing workflows
  • Hands-on experience with crop insurance systems and agency management tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
  • Comfortable setting expectations, providing feedback, and driving accountability
