Overview
Transportation Clerk position ensures that all Store Replenishment and Direct to Customer shipments are created timely to support merchandise flows smoothly through the Distribution Center (DC) operation. Utilizing the Transportation Management System (TMS) and internal systems Transportation Clerk manages the workload while communicating with various departments within the Distribution Center, Carriers, and Stores. This position requires someone to take initiative and make decisions. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes MMS Truck Scheduling to build shipping schedule for Store Replenishment within the Distribution Center to enable planning to allocate freight to the store.
  • Leverages Transportation Management System to create trucks and systematically communicate them for Store Replenishment and Direct to Customer Shipments
  • Conduit of information between Carriers and Stores
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to pass background checks and investigations due to foreign, federal, state and local regulations; based on position responsibility and sensitivity, periodic check and reinvestigations may be performed
