Our commitment is to provide efficient, reliable, and cost-effective shipping solutions to our customers. As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Terminal Clerk to join our terminal operations team.


Job Summary:
As a Terminal Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for local customers at the terminal, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional shipping experience. This position supports terminal operations by handling customer inquiries, managing paperwork, coordinating with internal departments, and checking in drivers. Consistency, accuracy, and timely communication are critical for this role.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities - Daily:

  • Serve as the front-line representative for local terminal customers by phone, email, and in-person.
  • Handle a high volume of inquiries and requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Accurately enter shipment orders and update customer records in the system.
  • Check in drivers and image freight documentation using both ACORDEX and CLI software.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries and assist with appointment management.
  • Communicate proactively with customers about shipment status, delays, or exceptions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Previous experience in customer service, ideally in the LTL, freight, or logistics industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a clear and friendly communication style.
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Comfort with scanning/imaging software.
  • Attention to detail, especially in data entry and shipment paperwork handling.
  • Team-oriented with a service-first mindset and a proactive attitude.
