Job description

Job Summary The Manatee Clerk's Child Support Program provides comprehensive case management including; locating parents responsible for the support of a child, establishing paternity, obtaining, enforcing and changing child support orders. This position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external partners of the Clerk's Office. The Case Manager I safeguards confidential information, accurately and effectively utilizes the Child Support Management system to work assigned tasks related to Child Support Program services.

This is a full-time, non-supervisory position reporting to the team Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED One year of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data, preferably in an automated systems environment Basic mathematical aptitude, as well as alpha and numeric filing skills are required Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, proficiency in Microsoft Windows suite Organizational Values Along with the satisfactory performance of this job's essential functions, the employee in this position is expected to actively and consistently demonstrate the core values of the Clerk's Office. Provides excellent customer service to all in person, in email and over the phone; is approachable, helpful and personable; and answers questions knowledgeably and with patience Communicates effectively both verbally and in written form Interviews customers to assist and address case inquires Interacts with Legal Services Providers, other states, employers and other business partners Attends court to negotiate agreements, testify and facilitate court proceedings Performs case management duties as assigned by the supervisor Initiates and maintains a complete and accurate record, using the case management system and established division procedures Makes decisions based on procedures, case information and documentation received Initiates and responds to requests from external and internal business partners Gathers information, analyzes case data and takes next appropriate action Accurately processes incoming mail and takes the next appropriate action Completes assigned CAMS tasks accurately and timely Completes assigned DOR data lists Proficiently completes financial reviews and request balance updates as needed Facilitates the accurate distribution of collections Perform genetic testing collection as needed Perform location activities as needed Successfully manages multiple competing priorities Provides assistance to other CSP teams as needed Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS The essential mental and physical functions listed below are required in order for an employee to be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
