Transport Aide (FT 7–3)

Department: Nursing / Rehabilitation
Reports To: Charge Nurse / Rehab Manager

Job Summary

The Hospitality/Transport Aide supports resident care by safely transporting residents throughout the facility for therapy sessions, medical appointments, and activities. This role helps ensure residents arrive on time, comfortable, and with dignity, while supporting nursing and rehabilitation staff.

Key Responsibilities

Transport residents to and from therapy, dining, activities, and appointments

Assist residents with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices

Ensure residents are properly positioned and secured during transport

Communicate resident needs or concerns to nursing or therapy staff

Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines

Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment

Respond promptly to transport requests

Provide courteous and respectful interactions with residents and families

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, SNF, or rehabilitation setting is a plus

Must be HHA licensed

Growth OpportunityCandidate will be hired into a temporary Hospitality/Transport Aide position for an initial 6-month period. Based on performance, reliability, and overall fit during this trial phase, selected candidates may be sponsored by the company to complete CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training and certification
