Job description

SUMMARY OF WORK: Carecruiz Homecare Agency LLC is a non-medical homecare Agency and a non-emergency medical transportation company based at 87 Stambaugh Avenue, Sharon, PA 16146. As a non-emergency medical transportation company, we specialize in wheelchair and ambulatory transport from hospitals and other medical facilities.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care to medical patients in need of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation to ensure that our patients get to their destinations safely and on time.

Job Description: The driver will operate Carecruiz Homecare Agency vehicles, providing safe, timely, and courteous transport services for passengers. The driver will communicate with and assist passengers, as well as perform any other related duties as required.

Experience/Qualification

· Previous experience preferred, but not required.

· Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

· Must be able to pass a mandatory criminal background check.

· Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and must be insurable.

· First Aid/CPR Certificate obtained within the first month of employment.

· Defensive Driving Certificate or obtained within the first month of employment.

Education

· High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Physical Requirement

· Occasionally: Climbing, kneeling, running distance, walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.

· Safely moving, lifting, and positioning patients with medical equipment (gurney, wheelchair, stair chair).

· Communicating effectively with dispatch regarding the schedule and receiving instructions.

· Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to patients, family members, and co-workers.

· Complete daily vehicle pre-shift and post-shift inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

· Assist clients/patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.

· Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).

· Must be able to understand and operate tablets, two-way radios, and medical transportation software.

· Perform all duties as assigned by the dispatcher.

· Ensuring client safety and comfort during transportation.

· Maintaining accurate records of pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, and expenses.

· Following all traffic laws and regulations.

· Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.

· Providing excellent customer service.

· Adhering to company policies and procedures.

· Assisting clients with mobility and other special needs as required.
