Job description

Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab is currently seeking a kind, dedicated, and hard working individual to fill a part time Transport Driver position for our long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate would also be a current CNA in the state of Ohio. (CNA preferred, not required)

As the Transport Driver, you will provide transportation services for the residents and patients of Spring Creek. Maintain a positive attitude while assisting clients and assuring the comfort and safety of all passengers. Responsible for the up keep of the vehicle by providing preventative maintenance, daily inspections, and reporting all major malfunctions to the facility Administrator.

*Pay based on experience  

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that safety practices and procedures are followed when operating the facility vehicle including the proper use of seat belts.

  • Routinely completes preventative maintenance and repairs to the vehicle as needed. Monitors the proper operation of the vehicle reporting all major malfunctions of the vehicle to the Administrator for dealership repairs.

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle by vacuuming, cleaning windows, and cleaning the inside to keep a professional image for the facility. Routinely maintains daily, monthly and yearly logs on vehicle including pre-inspection, maintenance, gasoline, passenger logs, licensed plates and insurance policies.

Knowledge and Skills:

  •  High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Spring Creek auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.

  • Ability to maintain and project a positive impression of the facility at all times.

  • Ability to maintain orderly logs

  • Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.

  • Ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of facility emergency codes.
