Job description

As a Weekend Transportation Specialist at Contract Transport Services, you will handle customer inquiries related to shipments, track orders, resolve delivery issues, provide estimated arrival times, address complaints, coordinate with customers, and act as the middle person between the customers and the company throughout the delivery process.
The Weekend Transportation Specialist is responsible for the following duties.
1. Serve as a primary customer contact for shipment-related inquiries.
2. Track freight from pickup through delivery and provide proactive updates.
3. Process and Monitor EDI transactions accurately and timely.
4. Identify and communicate service issues, delays, or risks immediately.
5. Coordinate with drivers and customers to resolve issues.
6. Monitor and report on-time pickups and delivery performance.
Schedule:
On call Friday 6:00PM-Sunday 10:00PM
In Office 7:00-3:00 Saturday, 7:00-3:00 Sunday
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills in regards to interface with employees and client.
  • A strong commitment to safety, care and concerns of our employees.
  • Strong Knowledge of FMCSR and DOT requirements
  • Advanced computer skills- i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
