Description

The primary responsibility of the Security Transport Driver is to safely transport money or valuables from one place to another for DHT customers. They are also responsible for the loading and unloading of the vehicle upon arrival, as well as completing the appropriate pick-up and delivery documentation.

DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport and Port Huron and also Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full -service repair facilities.


Interested candidates must have prior security experience.


This position is full time with daily hours ranging from 10-15 per day.


Essential Duties:

  • Safely transport currency and product from location to location in a security vehicle while following all traffic rules and company policies
  • Loads and unloads currency and product to and from the security transport vehicle and customer location
  • Drives the security transport vehicle along established routes to transport valuables to correct destination
  • Secures currency and product during receipt and transfer to ensure safe delivery
  • Issues and receives receipts from customers to verify correct transfer of currency and product
  • Maintains the safety, security and control of the armored vehicle at all times
  • Maintains radio communication with the Dispatch personnel at all times

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience in at least one of the following: commercial or fleet driving experience, armored car, security experience, military experience, or protective services experience
  • Chauffeur's license
  • Acceptable MVR
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 25 years old
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to respond calmly and appropriately in stressful situations
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Must have a valid DOT medical card

Preferred Requirements:

  • CDL A license
  • Security guard State registration

Compensation:

  • $17.50/hr
