  • Partner with the General Contractor, construction management, and security contractors on day-to-day site security.
  • Oversee access control, badging, visitor management, contractor credentialing, and controls for personnel, vehicles, materials, and equipment.
  • Review site security plans and temporary measures covering staffing, perimeter controls, gates, lighting, surveillance, and access control.
  • Coordinate security requirements with construction phasing and changing site conditions.

Manage risk, incidents, and local coordination

  • Monitor implementation of Nscale security requirements and drive resolution of gaps and emerging risks.
  • Support incident reporting, escalation, investigation, and corrective action, coordinating significant matters with Nscale Security leadership.
  • Maintain relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant government and community stakeholders as directed.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Security, Safety, Legal, Risk, and other Nscale functions where responsibilities overlap.
  • Address security implications arising from public visibility, community concerns, protests, unauthorized surveillance, trespassing, or other site activity.

Deliver security technology and design coordination

  • Act as the site-level liaison to Nscale's Security Design & Technology organization.
  • Coordinate with Data Center Infrastructure, the Engineer of Record, the General Contractor, electrical and design teams, and the security integrator.
  • Track the delivery of cameras, access control, biometrics, intrusion detection, intercoms, security networks, and related technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews, construction coordination, system testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
  • Identify design or installation issues early and drive resolution while maintaining visibility of schedules, dependencies, risks, and deficiencies.

Provide program governance and reporting

  • Maintain a construction security risk register and track mitigation actions.
  • Provide regular updates on risks, incidents, deficiencies, staffing, technology deployment, and upcoming construction activity.
  • Track security-related milestones and dependencies and participate in relevant project meetings.
  • Conduct or coordinate periodic construction-site security assessments.
  • Maintain security documentation, procedures, and records throughout the project.

Transition security into operations

  • Transition construction security responsibilities into the operational security program as Monarch approaches readiness.
  • Establish operational procedures, post orders, access control processes, and escalation protocols.
  • Validate security technology readiness and operational acceptance.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training for the operational security team.
  • Participate in commissioning, readiness reviews, and turnover activities, closing remaining security gaps before handover.
KPIs
  • Construction security risks identified and mitigated before operational impact
  • Security technology milestones, testing, commissioning, and acceptance completed in line with project requirements
  • Security incidents, deficiencies, and corrective actions tracked through timely resolution
  • Operational security readiness achieved with no outstanding critical gaps at handover
About You
  • 7+ years of experience in physical security, data center security, construction security, critical infrastructure security, or a related field.
  • Experience managing security programs for large-scale construction or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working directly with general contractors, construction managers, security integrators, and engineering or design organizations.
  • Strong understanding of CCTV, access control, biometrics, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and security communications.
  • Experience developing or implementing security procedures, standards, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder construction environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and discretion with sensitive security information.
  • Ability to identify security risks independently, challenge stakeholders when necessary, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Experience with hyperscale or AI/GPU data centers, power generation, substations, or other critical infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience with security technology commissioning, Genetec or comparable platforms, local emergency stakeholders, or ASIS certifications such as CPP or PSP is preferred.
