Main purpose of the position:

The Fabric R&D Assistant will utilize his or her exceptional organizational skills to support the Fabric Research and Development team. He or she will comprehend the fabric development process and complete administrative tasks as needed. This is a permanent full time role for a candidate who can ensure data entry accuracy, communicate effectively and has strong organization skills that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment..


Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

● Assist R&D Manager/R&D Associates to input fabric information into the Product Console

● Assist in printing out fabric info sheets and cutting fabric swatches for all brands

● Organize physical fabric library and assist in maintaining the library and go backs

● Assist R&D Manager/Assistants with setting up binders for each brand/each season using the label maker

● Assistant the R&D Manager/Associates with vendor communication

● Assist with taking pictures, uploading and renaming of fabric hangers

● Writing fabric prices on hangers from the price lists as they come in from textile shows or sourcing requests

● Hang up and organize new fabric that come into R&D office for Fabric Manager to review

● Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management

Required Competencies:

● Positive and dependable attitude

● Strong multi-tasking skills

● Effective time management and ability to stay organized

● Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment

● Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling

● Must be able to sit for extended periods of time


Minimum Qualifications:

● 1+ year experience working in a similar role

● Experience with data entry

● Excellent computer skills including Excel and Google Docs


Preferred Qualifications

● Degree in Fashion, Product Development or similar field

● Experience with fabrics

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $20/hr to $22/hr.
