Schedule: Part-Time (Minimum 20 hours/week); With Path to Full-Time (El Monte, CA)
Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (Good-faith estimate upon hire)

About Hope House, Inc.
Hope House is a nonprofit dedicated to serving children and adults with developmental disabilities across 13 residential facilities in the San Gabriel Valley. We are looking for a motivated Development Assistant to support our mission-driven fundraising and community engagement.
Essential Job Functions
To comply with the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the following are considered fundamental duties that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Donor Relations: Maintain and update donor and volunteer databases (CRM) to ensure data integrity.
  • Communication: Conduct grant research, assist with grant proposal writing, and community outreach materials.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate development meetings, track contributions, and manage mailing lists for the Director of Development.
  • Events & Initiatives: Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and special events, including occasional weekend attendance.
  • Digital Presence: Execute updates for social media platforms and the organization's website.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods; ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. during event setup.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. College coursework in public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM or CMS platforms.
  • Experience: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Compliance: Must be able to pass a criminal background check (DOJ/FBI) and provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
