Position Summary:

The Manager of Training & Development Operations is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing learning programs that support operational and administrative excellence across Covenant Health. This role ensures workforce competency, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development while aligning learning initiatives with organizational goals and business initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of training programs at the Covenant Health enterprise.
  • Ensure learning content supports organizational competencies and business requirements.
  • Leverage adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design and implement new employee orientation, leadership, and compliance training programs.
  • Manage operational resources and budgets effectively.
  • Ensure scalability and consistency of training delivery across the organization.
  • Ensure training initiatives meet healthcare regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS).
  • Maintain accurate training records and audit readiness.
  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
  • Track and report training metrics (completion rates, effectiveness, ROI).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of training specialists or coordinators.
  • Collaborate with HR, leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and external learning partners.
  • Assess training needs through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
  • Measure effectiveness of training programs using KPIs and quality outcomes.
  • Continuously refine programs based on performance data and organizational needs.
QualificationsMinimum Education:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in healthcare administration, Human Resources, Education, Business, Nursing, or related field required.

Minimum Experience:

5โ€“8+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or workforce development. 3+ years in a leadership or management role. Experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, health system) preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driverโ€™s license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
