General Summary
Under the direction of the director of training and development, this position is responsible for supporting Training and Development programs in the Materials Segment to ensure the professional, efficient and effective delivery of training to our employees.
Essential Job Accountabilities
  • Coordinate and perform daily administrative and support functions to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date Training and Development publications, reports, documents, manuals, guides and marketing materials to ensure availability and accessibility for managers and employees.
  • Respond to requests for information and services from internal and external clients to ensure customer needs are met and training programs run efficiently.
  • Coordinate training program logistics, meeting site planning, online collaboration tools and communication to participants to ensure programs are conducted efficiently with minimal inconvenience to participants.
  • Provide education on the Training and Development programs offered and assist (as needed) managers/employees in identifying programs which meet their training needs.
  • Code, process and track invoices, journal entries and departmental expenses to ensure timely and accurate accounting, budgeting, cost summaries and ensure all Training and Development programs are charged appropriately.
  • Assist department with general maintenance and data upkeep of the training system to ensure ongoing system functionality and training data is current and accurate.
  • Provide end users support for the training systems, to include report generation, problem solving and escalation of technical issues to ensure the full utilization of the training system in meeting the needs of the end user

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organization development, learning and development, business or similar area of study required

Work Experience
  • 0-2 years of increasingly responsible office administrative or coordinator experience
  • Prior Training and Development or Human Resources experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field of Training and Organization Development
  • Basic knowledge of the instructional design process and graphic design and excellent writing and proof reading skills
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly. Prior exposure to JD Edwards/World/Enterprise a plus
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating learning activities and events
  • Good problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges with consistent follow through
  • Ability to set priorities, organize work and work in high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines
  • Attention to detail/accuracy, quick learner, excellent follow through and internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information and convey concepts, ideas and information to all levels of the organization
  • Team player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment

Base Salary Range:
$54,700.00 - $82,050.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
