Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Periop Educator RN, you will lead the development and delivery of nursing and clinical education programs across our organization, supporting both foundational and advanced practice. Your role is vital in promoting professional growth and ensuring high care standards.
Every day you will plan, conduct, and evaluate diverse educational initiatives, orientations, and trainings for clinical staff. You'll collaborate with leadership and regional teams to enhance patient care quality and cost-effectiveness through strategic educational support.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong instructional design, delivery skills, and expertise in patient care and adult learning. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and critical thinking are essential to align educational strategies with organizational goals.

  • Conducts needs analyses to identify immediate/future education needs and develops education/training programs designed to meet identified learning needs and comply with city, county, state, federal and The Joint Commission guidelines as applicable.
  • Confers with service lines and department management to identify immediate and future development requirements.
  • May create, write, update, and/or modify written and multimedia education modules, programs, curriculum, course outlines, and lesson plans that are consistent with overall course objectives and participant needs.
  • Incorporates delivery of care and clinical techniques appropriately to address special population needs in educational offerings.
  • Conducts and evaluates education/training programs/activities provided to ensure they are consistent with meet identified learning needs, including classroom training.
  • Implements programs in accordance with city, county, state, federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements where applicable.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree of Nursing and three years of RN nursing work experience in the designated specialty area that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

  • Masters degree in related field and previous work experience in the education/training of healthcare providers
