Overview
We are seeking a Gold Processing Specialist to join our team in Henderson, NV.
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong mineral processing expertise to act as Process Lead for gold processing engineering studies and projects. The role will focus on the development, review, and delivery of process designs across scoping, PFS, FS, and project execution phases, with particular emphasis on practical, operable solutions informed by site and operating experience.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on understanding of gold processing plants and lead multidisciplinary teams in developing robust, fit-for-purpose process flowsheets.
Your role
  • Act as Process Lead for gold processing engineering studies and projects.
  • Develop, review, and optimize gold processing flowsheets, including:
    • Crushing and grinding circuits.
    • Leaching and adsorption circuits (CIL, CIP / CIC).
    • Gold recovery, elution, electrowinning, and refining concepts.
  • Lead process design activities for studies (PFS, FS), including:
    • Design criteria and basis of design.
    • Process simulations and equipment sizing.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and intermediate process engineers.
  • Interface with project management, engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders.
  • Review metallurgical testwork programs and incorporate results into process design.
  • Support site-related activities including commissioning support, plant troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and operational optimization.
  • Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and value-improvement initiatives.
  • Support client engagement, proposals, and technical presentations as required.

About you
  • Bachelor's/Master's or Ph.D. degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in mineral processing, with a strong focus on gold processing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process activities for engineering studies and/or projects.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing technical deliverables: e.g. PFDs, P&IDs, PDC, trade-of-studies, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with gold extraction technologies, including:
    • CIL and CIP/CIC circuits.
    • Crushing, grinding, and classification systems.
    • Gold recovery and refining processes.
  • Solid understanding of metallurgical testwork interpretation and its application to plant design.
  • Strong technical judgment with a practical, operations-focused mindset.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to balance technical rigor with project schedule and cost constraints.
  • Client-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Preferred Experience:
  • Site-based and operational experience at gold processing plants (operations, commissioning, ramp-up, or plant optimization).
  • Exposure to brownfield modifications, expansions, or debottlenecking projects.
  • Experience working on projects with international or remote operating sites.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or ability to obtain registration.
