ABOUT UNIVERSAL TELEVISION (UTV)  

Universal Television (UTV), a division of Universal Studio Group, is one of the largest and most successful television studios in the world. Led by President Erin Underhill, the studio is known for programming with broad appeal and cultural relevance. UTV currently produces over 40 primetime comedies and dramas across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. Home to commercial hits such as Dick Wolf's enormously successful "Law & Order," "One Chicago" and "FBI"-branded series, UTV also produces celebrated premium series including the Emmy Award-winning "Hacks" and "The Gilded Age," fan favorites "St. Denis Medical," "Loot," "A Man on the Inside" and "The Four Seasons," as well as cultural phenomena "Bel-Air," "Never Have I Ever" and "The Best Man: The Final Chapters." The Entertainment Coordinator will provide administrative support to the EVP, Drama Development of Universal Television Studios Programming and serve as office liaison communicating with internal NBCU divisions as well as the external business and creative community.

Essential Responsibilities

• General administrative duties include: answering telephones, scheduling, arranging drive-ons, copying, filing, compiling and submitting expense reports, and planning all travel arrangements
• Maintain submission log & return materials when appropriate
• Coordinate meetings; maintain files and status reports for all aspects of production
• Assist in communication with the creative community on a daily basis
• Conduct research on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, formats, talent and competitive environment
• Be expected to handle confidential and other sensitive information
• Will be a team player and cover for other department assistants as needed

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience within studio, network, or agency
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Desired Characteristics:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience on high-level entertainment executive desk
• Knowledge of how the TV development process works and key players within the industry.
• Willingness to review project materials and provide feedback to department for available IP - scripts, books, articles, podcasts, etc.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
• Highly flexible and collected under high-pressure circumstances

Additional Requirements:

• Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
