Job Overview

Landscape East & West is a full service, award winning, eco-friendly, customer focused landscape contractor. We are looking to add a key member to our Maintenance Department in the role of Irrigation Technician Trainee.

This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn the technical skills required to become an Irrigation Technician. The successful candidate will work alongside senior technicians and develop their skillset and knowledge of care and irrigation systems.

Job duties include but not limited to:

  • Assist senior irrigation technician(s) with irrigation system startups, repairs, and maintenance of commercial and residential properties.

  • Learn to diagnose and repair leaks, broken lines, faulty valves, and damaged sprinkler heads.

  • Assist with controller programming and adjustments for optimal water efficiency.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in landscaping maintenance

  • Tech savvy and willing to learn new systems when needed.

  • Possess a valid driver's license that is insurable through the company policy

  • High School diploma or GED to obtain Backflow certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Able to walk through maintenance accounts, through all types of terrain.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel & dig and work in all types of weather conditions.

  • Able to drive company assigned vehicle.
