Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

About the Role

As the Senior Financial Analyst - Sales Finance for the US Market, you will support the delivery of financial and analytical insights in the area of Trade Spend and Gross to Net Sales. In this role, you will prepare reports to analyze customer performance, trade spend, and retailer performance. This role is critical to the month-end close, with the responsibility of preparing journal entries, analyzing P&L expense accounts within Gross to Net Sales, and assessing the balance sheet position. In addition, you will play a lead role in building the financial plans and forecasts, as well as the annual external financial audit.

Business Performance

  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annual forecasting, budgeting, and tracking of target plans for Gross to Net Sales.
  • Monthly financial analysis on actual results by comparing to forecast/budgets to drive insights that will improve business performance.
  • Prepare flexible financial models with clean and insightful outputs.
  • Develop reports that help our business counterparts measure performance and help to explain any variances to expectations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to manage, analyze, and report on Sales and Trade Spending with cross-functional teams.
  • Ad-hoc support through data analysis for various financial business scenarios and core business processes.

 Controllers

  • Prepare monthly financial control activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and review of the general ledger.
  • Support the monthly closing process to ensure accurate and transparent representation of financial results.
  • Deliver ad-hoc support to help resolve issues/disputes between internal functions or customers and the shared services team.
  • Play a leadership role in the annual financial audit and interface directly with the external audit team.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Professional accounting designation or in pursuit of a professional accounting qualification a plus.
  • 2+ years of CPG Industry Experience with financial or accounting experience, with a strong analytical bias, excellent understanding of financial metrics and financial processes, and a sense of curiosity
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines; possession of strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to understand and establish appropriate priorities.
  • Very strong work ethic, positive team-player attitude, great communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong business partner and influencing skills to drive business results and process improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Solid understanding of ERP and Reporting Systems, with SAP knowledge an asset.
