Job Description

The Opportunity: 
This role supports toy portfolio management by assisting with strategy and the product development pipeline, with a focus on marketing support for Thomas & Friends toy products.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Support the development of toy strategy by segment
  • Support the toy pricing architecture and competitive positioning.
  • Assist in gathering consumer/play insights specific to toy usage and play patterns.
  • Collaborate with Design/R&D to bring toys from concept to shelf.
  • Support toy business performance (POS performance and SKU metrics: revenue, margin, productivity).
  • Provide input to Brand Marketing on packaging, messaging, and feature storytelling.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience. 
  • Project management skills: potential to manage complex product development timelines.
  • Strong quantitative/Analytical/financial skills (forecasting, pricing, SKU productivity and competitive analysis).
  • Financial acumen: Experience with P&L management.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams (ie design and manufacturing).
  • Communication skills: Excellent at storytelling, presentations, and influencing team.
  • Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Roles in category management, product marketing, or product development.
  • Background in CPG or toy companies, ideally with exposure to retail buyer dynamics.
  • Retail/channel knowledge: Ability to leverage insights to build mass, specialty, and e-commerce distribution strategies.
