Job Summary:

Industry leading childrenโ€™s consumer goods company is seeking a Product & Packaging Designer to work on several brands and categories in a fast-paced and exciting environment. The ideal candidate will be a professional team player that can manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest level of organization.

To ensure success as a Product & Packaging Designer, the ideal candidate will have strong sketching and presentation skills, knowledge of toy development and manufacturing processes, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is an on-site role and requires presence in the Hauppauge, NY office five days a week.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop product packaging, graphics and visual assets for licensed and proprietary toy lines
  • Create packaging layouts, product renderings, mockups, die lines, and production-ready files for print and manufacturing
  • Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, brand and licensing teams to bring product concepts to life
  • Execute creative solutions that align with brand guidelines, licensing requirements, retailer needs, and overall line consistency
  • Prepare presentations, mockups, and visual materials for internal reviews, retailer meetings, and approvals.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
  • Review and revise artwork based on internal feedback, licensor comments, retailer requests, and production requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 yearsโ€™ experience in the toy industry
  • BSA or BFA in Industrial Designer Toy Design
  • Strong sketching ability and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of toy development processes including sculpture, model making, rapid prototyping, engineering design, and simple IC development
  • Knowledge of toy manufacturing processes including injection molding, rotational molding, blow molding, all decoration processes (spray masks, tampo printing, silk screening), assembly, packing, and shipping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally.
  • Must provide a link to or copy of portfolio for review
