Description


The Control Tower Team Lead is responsible for monitoring and coordinating logistics activities to ensure the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, delivery documentation, and shipment execution. This role serves as a central communication hub between operations, dispatch, customers, and leadership, proactively identifying and escalating issues that may impact service levels, production schedules, or customer deliveries.


The Control Tower Team Lead utilizes SAP and other logistics systems to monitor order status, validate delivery documentation, track operational performance, and support continuous communication across the supply chain. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational visibility, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting efficient logistics execution.

Requirements:

What you’ll do:


· Execute company values, policies, procedures, and operational standards in support of Schnellecke Logistics objectives.· Adhere to all Schnellecke safety principles and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the shop floor and                    truck yard.· Follow all standard work procedures, safety guidelines, and operational requirements for assigned responsibilities.· Maintain consistent communication with BASF and other designated stakeholders regarding delivery notes, shipment status, and operational updates.· Ensure all expedited orders are prioritized, picked, processed, and shipped according to customer requirements.· Verify delivery note information is complete, accurate, and properly printed prior to shipment release.· Monitor picking progress and order execution activities to ensure timely completion.· Escalate operational delays, inventory discrepancies, or process issues to the Operations Manager, Supervisor, or appropriate leadership team.· Maintain open communication with dispatch regarding delivery note concerns or shipment issues that may impact truck departures.· Utilize SAP and other logistics systems to monitor order status, shipment activity, and inventory movement.· Track and communicate exceptions, delays, and service risks to internal and external stakeholders.· Support daily operational reporting and documentation requirements.· Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to delivery processing and logistics activities.· Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and customer requirements.
Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.· Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.· SAP experience required with proficiency in logistics, order management, and shipment tracking functions.· Advanced computer skills required, including Microsoft Office applications.· Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehouse operations, or customer service preferred.· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.· Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. · Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, where permitted by applicable law.
 Work Environment
· Work is performed in both office and warehouse environments.· Frequent interaction with operations personnel, dispatch teams, customers, and leadership.· Exposure to warehouse conditions including moving equipment, vehicle traffic, and varying noise levels.· Frequent computer use and system monitoring throughout the workday.· Ability to walk the shop floor and truck yard as needed to support operational activities.· Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in operational areas.
