Job description

Imagine shaping the future Merchant Services by leading and executing SMB and Middle Market strategies 
As an Portfolio Execution Director in Merchant Services ,  you will lead the development and implementation of segment strategies, growth initiatives, and specialized solutions for key verticals within Merchant Services. The primary focus of your role is to reduce expense and maximize revenue by identifying and executing opportunities for business optimization and expansion. This position requires you to bring a deep understanding of the payments landscape, merchant needs, and market dynamics to deliver sustainable growth and value. You will report to the Head of Portfolio Growth and Execution supporting the SMB & Middle Market segments.
 
 
Job responsibilities
 
  • Lead the development and execution of segment and vertical strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Drive growth initiatives and implement specialized solutions for key verticals to reduce expense and maximize revenue.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for business optimization, including process improvements, digital enablement, and operational enhancements.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy and solution development.
  • Optimize revenue drivers and realization through effective pricing strategies and business opportunity management.
  • Oversee the execution and implementation of programs, processes, and initiatives, managing cross-functional resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, relationship management, operations, marketing, compliance) to ensure seamless delivery of merchant solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships to enhance merchant offerings and expand market reach.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations in all merchant services activities. Monitor and report on business performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Make decisions and lead activities that have significant impact on the organization's P&L. 

    Serve as a manager with defined accountability, or as an individual contributor demonstrating intellectual leadership on highly complex projects critical to the organization.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 
  • 10+ years' experience in merchant services, payments, or financial services, with a focus on strategy and business development.
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, merchant needs, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies, revenue optimization, and partnership management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA.
