Job description

Job Title : QI Lead (Quality Engineering Lead) - Tosca
Location : Charlotte, NC (Only local - 3days onsite)
(healthcare domain is preferred)
Responsibilities
Quality Engineering Leadership
Define, own, and continuously improve the end-to-end test automation strategy using Tosca.
Lead and mentor onsite-offshore QE teams, enabling skill uplift and enforcing automation best practices.
Establish and maintain quality governance, including standards, review checklists, and quality gates.
Automation Architecture & Execution
Design scalable Tosca automation frameworks using Modules, TCD, TDS, DEX, API Scan, and OSV.
Build and maintain reusable automation assets and ensure consistent Module/TestStep reuse (>70%).
Integrate Tosca automation seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab).
Test Strategy & Planning
Develop test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, and API tests.
Apply risk-based testing to determine coverage priorities.
Ensure efficient test data creation, management, and environment readiness.
Delivery & Operations
Own the daily execution of automation suites for PR validations, nightly runs, and release cycles.
Monitor, analyze, and fix automation failures, ensuring low flakiness and stable pipelines.
Collaborate with DevOps to optimize infrastructure, agents, environments, and reporting mechanisms.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with Product, Development, and Architecture teams to embed quality early.
Present executive-level quality reports-coverage, stability, risk metrics, defect insights.
Support UAT and release management with data-driven recommendations on release readiness.
Qualifications
Must-Have
8-12+ years of total QA/Quality Engineering experience with 4+ years in Tricentis Tosca automation.
Deep expertise in:
Tosca Commander
TestCase Design (TCD)
Test Data Services (TDS)
API Scan
Distributed Execution (DEX)
OSV (virtualization)
  • Hands-on experience integrating Tosca with Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical ability to lead RCA, minimize flakiness, and optimize test frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of API testing, JSON/XML validation, and contract testing fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and release cycles.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

Nice-to-Have
  • Tricentis certifications (Automation Specialist 1 & 2, Test Design Specialist).
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, or other enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data validation, and BI testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Exposure to performance tools like NeoLoad.
