Your Mission

As our Kitchen Manager, you'll lead the heart of the restaurant by ensuring every meal meets our standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and speed.


You'll inspire your team through coaching, accountability, and leading by example while creating a kitchen culture focused on excellence, cleanliness, food safety, and continuous improvement.


This is a working manager position. We believe the best leaders lead from the front. You'll be expected to coach your team while working alongside them, jump on the line during peak business, solve problems in real time, and do whatever it takes to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing BOH team every shift.
  • Lead by example by working shoulder-to-shoulder with your team during busy service.
  • Confidently work every station on the line while coaching and developing your team in real time.
  • Create a positive, accountable kitchen culture built on teamwork, respect, and ownership.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop cooks and future kitchen leaders.
  • Ensure consistent execution of all recipes, presentation standards, and ticket times.
  • Maintain exceptional food quality while delivering speed and consistency.
  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, receiving, and waste control.
  • Monitor labor costs while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all health department, sanitation, and food safety standards.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Conduct daily line checks, quality checks, and kitchen inspections.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to provide coaching, direction, and accountability across the kitchen.
  • Partner with the Front of House leadership team to create seamless guest experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency, and kitchen operations.
  • Make quick decisions under pressure while maintaining quality, speed, and guest satisfaction.
  • Jump in wherever needed to support your team and the restaurant.

You bring:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required).
  • 2+ years of restaurant kitchen management experience.
  • Experience leading BOH teams 
  • High-volume restaurant experience.
  • Strong culinary leadership and people development skills.
  • Knowledge of food costing, inventory management, ordering, receiving, and labor management.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of California labor laws is a plus.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
  • Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Open Monday–Sunday availability.
