Job description

WHO WE ARE

Palisociety is a society of unique hotels and residences - Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali, ARRIVE by Palisociety, and a growing collection of independently branded properties. Since our first hotel opened in Los Angeles in 2009, we've grown into a nationwide portfolio of neighborhood-centric hotels, restaurants, bars, and event spaces, earning recognition from Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, the New York Times, and more.

We consider our employees our greatest asset: structured training from day one, consistent feedback, and a clear path for growth. We develop our leaders from within, because the strongest hospitality companies are the ones that grow their own.

ABOUT PALIHOTEL CULVER CITY

Palihotel Culver City reimagined the historic 1920s West End Hotel into a 49-room boutique hotel, home to Simonette restaurant and bar - all designed to honor Los Angeles' cinematic roots and Culver City's booming modern-day renaissance.

POSITION PROFILE

The Front Desk Agent is often the first and last face our guests see - the one who sets the tone for a memorable stay. From a warm check-in to answering questions throughout the visit, you'll be the go-to source for our signature trusty service.

THE TASK AT HAND

  • Lead the check-in/check-out process, confirming guest information, billing, and settling folios.

  • Serve as a savvy guide to the hotel, its amenities, and the neighborhood.

  • Build genuine, memorable guest relationships in line with our service standards.

  • Field phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly and warmly.

  • Accurately input guest information and payments into hotel systems such as Opera.

  • Proactively anticipate guest needs, resolving issues and finding ways to surprise and delight.

  • Communicate guest requests or concerns to the Front Desk Manager, Housekeeping, or Engineering, and conduct walkthroughs for safety, security, and cleanliness.

  • Follow all safety and emergency protocols, and lend a hand to other departments as needed to keep operations smooth.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • Minimum two years of experience in guest reception, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.

  • Positive, energetic, and service-oriented, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable with basic arithmetic and property management/point-of-sale systems.

  • Clear verbal and written communication in English.

  • Good judgment, calm under pressure, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.

Physical

  • Ability to stand for long periods and push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Flexible schedule, including a variety of shifts.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k).

  • Paid time off, holiday pay, and sick pay.

  • Career advancement and professional development as we open new hotels and restaurants nationwide.

  • Employee discounts across our entire portfolio (25 hotels and more to come!).
