Director, Retail Marketing (Timberland)
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Director, Retail Marketing at Timberland looks a little like this.
You will be responsible for elevating the consumer journey and driving cohesive brand expression across all DTC, including brick-and-mortar environments. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead the strategy and execution of retail marketing initiatives that enhance store performance, deepen consumer connections, advance product marketing, elevate store design principles, and create meaningful, immersive consumer experiences, as well as drive traffic and conversion.

  • Lead the development and execution of seasonal retail marketing strategies that elevate the in-store experience across full-price, outlet, and wholesale partner environments.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and visual merchandising to translate seasonal concepts into impactful in-store storytelling, product presentation, and retail activation plans.
  • Drive DTC consumer experience initiatives, ensuring that stores reflect brand standards, support key product stories, and deliver an elevated journey that meets evolving consumer expectations.
  • Develop, execute and ensure the implementation of evergreen and seasonal go-to-market processes for retail, providing clear direction to cross-functional partners on in-store priorities, storytelling, and design needs to ensure aligned execution.
  • Support budgeting and oversee in-season management of retail marketing investments, ensuring efficient use of resources across store design, visual execution, fixtures, signage, and in-store marketing materials.
  • Track and deliver store performance insights and consumer experience feedback to key stakeholders, optimizing execution and adjusting strategies to improve traffic, conversion, and overall retail KPIs.
  • Partner with the regional digital and brand marketing teams to ensure all retail environment extends a cohesive, connected brand experience across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Develop and lead a team of retail marketing and in-store experience professionals, fostering strong execution, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation in the brick-and-mortar space, across VM, store design and retail marketing.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 10+ years of progressive experience and 5+ years of managerial experience.

Hiring Range:
$171,600.00 USD - $214,500.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
