Job description

Systems Engineer – Atmospheric Systems

Brooks Automation is seeking a Systems Engineer (Atmospheric Systems) to join our growing team in the semiconductor and life sciences markets. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and validating complex automation systems that support our precision robotics and atmospheric solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, define, and implement complex system requirements for customers and conduct studies and analyses of existing systems.
  • Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Coordinate the design of subsystems and integrate total system architecture.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Validate and test system‑level tool performance based on sub‑system module performance and integration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Hands‑on systems engineering experience in design, troubleshooting, test, and analysis.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments and laboratory skills.
  • Knowledge of reliability and/or statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of the V‑model representation of a system development life cycle.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, data logger, etc.).
  • Experience developing and delivering semiconductor capital equipment to Tier1 OEMs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Creo CAD, Agile methodologies, and scripting languages such as Python is a plus.
Compensation

Base Salary: $110,621.72 – $149,664.68 USD, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Pay may vary by geography, skills, and experience.
