Job description

ComResource is looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Tier 1 Analyst (Second Shift).

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security incidents for endpoints, network, and cloud domains generated by the SIEM tool and ticketing system.
  • Perform initial triage and investigation of incidents assigned through the ticketing system, following established playbooks for specific incident types.
  • Respond to, mitigate, and eradicate security threats with guidance from Tier 2 / Tier 3 analysts and SOC leadership.
  • Escalate security incidents according to defined escalation policies for further investigation and response.
  • Provide consistent and quality documentation of actions taken to triage and investigate incidents.
  • Assist senior staff in the development of documentation and knowledge management articles for the SOC.
  • Handle sensitive information in accordance with information protection policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot, respond to, and improve detection capabilities.

Essentials:

  • Experience in security operations, monitoring, or incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and security ticketing systems.
  • Ability to follow established playbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7/365 operational environment.
