PERFORM PEER REVIEW CASES VIRTUALLY IN YOUR OWN HOME

Lumetra Healthcare Solutions is an independent case review organization in California.   We are seeking specialists to perform peer review of electronic health records for our contract with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).  The purpose of the project is to provide feedback to the VA on the quality of the care provided. They are using this information to track trends and revise policies where an opportunity to improve care is identified.

The Reviewer specifically comments on whether the care provided met professional standards and evidence-based practices and/or was medically necessary.

Briefly, this case review work includes the following:

  • Your role is as a contracted reviewer

  • There is no litigation involved

  • Reimbursement is $105/case

  • Reviews will take less than 1 hour to complete

  • Timeframe for completion of each review is 7-10 days from the date of notification of an available case

  • Reviews involve remotely accessing the VA’s electronic record:  it is essential that the reviewer is confident with review of electronic health records.

As the largest Federal provider of healthcare with 152 medical centers and 732 associated outpatient clinics, the VHA’s clinical peer review program is viewed as a critical element of quality management. Most of our reviewers find the cases interesting and the work gratifying. This is a real opportunity to ensure that our Veterans receive the high quality of medical care they deserve.
