Roles:


This position will support the Plant Controller in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordination of the month-end closing process, and the daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results. 


Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Investigate standard variances.
  • Perform manufacturing analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of manufacturing production rates.
  • Complete monthly BU reporting -LIFO, Surveys, bridges, NFIs, absorption.
  • Assist in tax documentation preparation.
  • Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (ASAT) testing.
  • Assist in calculating and planning cost reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate Labor Reporting.
  • Assist and oversee the General Accounting and Cost Accounting functions, such as product costing, daily variance analysis, capital management, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly business review package.
  • Review/perform account reconciliations.
  • Participate in daily reporting, daily checkbook, and OT review.
  • Assist/participate in physical inventories of product inventory and fixed asset inventory.
  • Business unit/corporate requests.
  • Assist in the monthly finance close.
  • Support management's financial requests for information through detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Drive the operating budget process.
  • Assist the controller in forecasting/ budgeting as needed.
  • Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
  • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
  • Report all incidents, including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses, to their supervisor.


Qualifications, Education, Skills, and Abilities:


  • BS/BA Four-year degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Computer – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Oracle, Hyperion
  • Must be proficient with computer systems and programs. Advanced Excel skills are required. 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, detail-oriented
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, self-motivated, and team-oriented skills
  • Flexible and a strong desire to learn


Experience:

  • 3-5 Years of Manufacturing Accounting in a manufacturing environment, as well as in financial reporting and financial analysis.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of directly related work experience - standard cost system, manufacturing, aerospace. Hyperion / Oracle system experience is highly desirable.

Supervision:

  • This position has the potential for direct reporting responsibility.
