Keysight's Aerospace & Defense Custom Solutions (ADCS) group is a highly talented and passionate team that develops and delivers custom test systems. We work with customers on a wide variety of fascinating technologies many in the Radar, Electronic Warfare & Satellite domains.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a senior RF Test System Engineer to join our team. Chosen candidate may be product or technology focused and will deliver technical expertise for solution implementation to the customer based on Keysight's products and services. This highly autonomous role is customer facing and as such, individual will be focused on the implementation/execution of custom solutions and will also contribute technical guidance to the sales process. The chosen candidate will work to understand customer's problems, recommend test solutions to meet their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Lead for developing custom test systems and solutions for customers in the aerospace and defense industries
  • Develop Software and device drivers to automate system test
  • Write test code for device interface
  • Integrate Keysight's products and services (at the system/solutions level) into the customer's environment
  • Contribute and lead projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers, third parties
  • Solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
  • Meet design milestones by partnering with customer on design reviews
  • Deliver whole system custom solutions
  • Ensure the solution functions per specifications
  • Provide technical expertise during pre-sales phase of customer engagements
  • Deliver customer training and consulting related to our application
  • On-site customer interface that requires some (limited) travel

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Loveland, Colorado.
Qualifications
The following skills are required
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8-10+ years relevant experience in Test/Systems engineering (develop, deploy and debug test systems)
  • Proficiency in 1 or more of the following: LabVIEW, TestStand, Matlab, Pathwave, ADS or HPV
  • Experience in Test and Measurement instrumentation with PNA, Spectrum analyzers, VNA, Oscilloscopes
  • Product development/prototype experience
  • Strong Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts
  • Experience leading projects or teams
  • Well rounded, systems background with experience in HW, SW, Electrical and Mechanical design (Understands whole product and able to deal with all components)
  • Proven Customer interface skills, working closely with customers and has ability to decipher customer needs and translate that into viable products
  • Strong communication/impersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Keen problem-solving ability
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently
  • Based on customer requirements, US Citizenship is required, as is the ability to obtain a security clearance

This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. Colorado pay range: MIN $115,200- MAX $192,000
