Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Technical Writer in Pasadena, TX. In this dynamic and essential role, you will serve as a vital bridge between field testing crews, laboratories, and regulatory representatives to craft accurate air emissions test reports for an industry leader in environmental information management. In a Technical Writer job youll be responsible for:
Reviewing and compiling field notes, raw data sheets, calibration logs, and laboratory analysis reports into templatized forms
Cross-checking engineering calculations utilizing custom MS Excel formulas
Drafting and formatting comprehensive test reports following state and regional agency guidelines
Inputting testing data and compiling digital compliance packages using specialized agency software (such as the EPA Electronic Reporting Tool - ERT)
Maintaining, updating, and improving standardized document templates, charts, and data tables to streamline reporting workflows
What youll need:
Strong math background with a basic foundational understanding of chemistry
Proficiency in MS Excel with experience using custom formulas (IF, @, $) to populate templates
Demonstrated experience in template editing, document formatting, and technical report drafting
Sharp attention to detail with numerical data entry, field documents, and data files
