Vitamix is seeking a Chef Assistant who will provide support to the culinary team with recipe development, product testing, event execution, presentations and financials, ensuring the smooth operation of the group in support of business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Culinary team with testing existing, new and in-development recipes according to the established testing protocol.
  • Records recipe testing results into database and shares results with key stakeholders.
  • Assist culinary, engineering, and product management teams with testing protocols and execution of tests.
  • Complete shopping, ingredient inventory and kitchen maintenance duties, as scheduled.
  • Prep ingredients and supplies for culinary projects.
  • Ensure the test kitchen is orderly, organized and clean for efficient use and recipe testing.
  • Provide assistance with recipe and/or machine training for internal and external partners.
  • Provide support for all internal and external events, as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
0-1 year related culinary experience
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree in Culinary, Food Science, or related field is preferred
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office
